Please tell me more. Did you just go through your resident renewal at SEF? Please tell me how it went. Thank you.

What I find strange is that SEF will wave through non PT residents (ie my daughter who has residency in Italy) but France won’t.

I have heard 3rd hand albeit, of people getting waved through in Germany, Spain and Holland without getting stamped and who are non resident in that specific country, but are in another EU country.

What did you have to go through with SEF?

Did they even ask you about how many months you were in Portugal?

It is pointless, we just needed some proof we lived here (which we had) before Brexit, the pointless comment is that the card you get Always have the interview date, however, next sept 24, we will have 5 years and I have a document that proves that and we can then apply for permanent residency.

faro they speak good English as well so made it easy. Even got into appointment 30 mins early, 10 mins for appointment (biometric and info check) job done.

however, I did take already printed, parents names, NIF, sns number, passport numbers and proof of residency, phone numbers and email (in our case the EU temporary cert we had and local junta cert) but they did not even ask for the latter.  The reason for the print out, was it just made it easier for them to copy it into the computer without me trying to spell everything in bad Portuguese 😃.

on another point we did have to pay about €35 each to SEF at faro
