It's soooooo  sad to see all the trees that were felled to make way for the electrification of the railway. 

I hope they will be replaced

I desperately need a garden storage unit, plastic rather than metal, to store mop bucket etc etc. I don't want to have to go all the way to Leroy Merlin if I can help it, so if anyone knows somewhere in or around vrsa  I would be really grateful. Thanks in advance.

METERED PARKING: I plan to rent a car and would like to park it close to where I am staying, a few blocks north of the plaza, where there are parking zones and time requirements.  Do the meters take coins only? Do you need to pay by 9am?

GASOLINE: are customers allowed to pump their own gas? Do you pump first and then pay? Do some or most gas stations accept credit cards at the pump?

Hi,

I am looking part time job for Monday and Tuesday. 

I understand it’s very hot at certain times of the year, but is it normal for no work to be done July August?

I feel very frustrated at the lack of work being done on a project started in early June. 
They got off to a flying start and then hardly anything. Resulting in when I arrived it was the settee in the lounge for me as the bedrooms were not fit for use.

Examples.

Baby unwell. Twice.

2 men off ill.

Waiting for supplies.

Suppliers late with delivery.

Be here tomorrow at 09.15 No show  

Be back after lunch.  No show.

Be here tomorrow…..came one wall partially tiled.

It’s now August and I’ve asked for update photos to be sent.

Payment is being in paid in instalments. 
I will not be paying any more until I see a substantial amount of work by the time I visit at the end of September.

I will be very interested in your comments.

Our estate sale starts tomorrow, after that our house goes up for sale. When the house sale is completed we head to Portugal to get a nif, bank, and buy or rent property. Then back to US to file the D7.

Tomorrow we will have released ourselves from all of our material goods, except the basics we need to travel and move. So far we have just four suitcases, but we think we can reduce that. 

It looks like we could be in Vila Real De Santo Antonio by the end of the year! We hope to meet many of you and learn from your experiences
