Digital Mobile Key (CMD)

Hi,
I am go8ng to the Portuguese Consulate in Manchester to activate the Digital Mobile Key. Does anyone know if I can use a UK mobile to do this.

I would be interested in knowing the outcome, as I thought (and could be totally wrong) that to get the Digital Key you had to have a citizen card not the residency card. If we can get it, that would help a lot with access to state services on line.
