We just arrived here to our new apartment on Sunday.  Spoke to lawyer regarding an appointment with AIMA and were told that documentation had to be just as it was when we went to San Francisco - only three months on most docuements. 

VFS took that  paperwork, we never opened.  Were not told that this was the case for Portuguese presentation.  Were told we would have to return to California and request FBI report all over again with apostille, etc.  

Is this truly the case and we were just not informed?

James and I are here for a month to open our new home and tidy up a bit before returning in February or March to settle in.  We are moving from Southern California.

Is there a forum or list of where to find competent help to build some shelving, do some plumbing or other new home upgrades/fixes?

Also, we would like to take Portuguese lessons face to face instead of online, any suggestions?

Looking forward to hearing from anyone with suggestions.

Hi there. This is a long shot but hopefully someone can help. Myself and my family of 14 are coming to Armacao de pera Thursday the 7th sept (this Thursday) and we have rental a villa called villa Charlotte near or in the urbanicion vale do olival. We have just seen on a review site that this area is currently a building site with major works being done. The agent has assured us it has stopped however the reviewer claimed they were also told this and when they arrived it was heavy industrial work morning until night. Please can anyone in or around that region confirm this to be true. Thank you kindly in advance

We are active retirees looking to meet people and  find things to do socially.

I have a boat in the U.K. and working out how to get it to Portugal hopefully will berth in Portimao. My wife is a Reiki master and holistic therapist very outgoing.
