Hi all expats, my name is Tom and I'm spending this November in Tavira. I'm from Ireland and have an outgoing personality..love walking..hiking and all sports in general. I would like to meet up with like minded people to help me get the most of my time and maybe persuade me to set down roots in the area.

Thanks..Tom.

Hi Tom, you will have no problems fulling your time in Tavira.  There are Tavira Treckers, Algarve Active Life, East Algarve Walking Football and Pink Flamingo Crocquet and Social Club to name just a few.  Ages are upwards of 55 or so.  Most of these have Facebook pages.  Black Anchor bar is also a good hub.  Failte!

Myself and my wife have lived in Tavira for a few years, what part of Ireland are you from, we grew up in County Down but then spent a lot of years in Cork and Kerry.    🇨🇮

Thanks Hugo..I'm from Donegal but spent half my life in UK. I'm retired now and hoping to settle eventually in Portugal. A few people have contacted me on this forum and I'm looking forward to meeting up with all. I'm over on Wednesday  and I hope the weather holds. Tnx.

Hi Hugo  We are a retired Irish couple living in Vila Real de Santo Antonio.  Hubby is from Dublin and I was born in Cork. We love it here and of course the nice winter weather.  If you ever find yourselves in VRSA do drop me a line.

All the best

Marge

Hello Irish Folk in Villa Real,

Bernadette and Hugh should be in Villa Real next week, we have a friend called Chris who used to live in Tavira but has been living in Villa Real this last few years.  We come in the train to Monto Gordo and meet him outside the Casino and then walk the beach and riverside to Villa Real with a picnic along the way.  Maybe yourselves could do this with us, if not we could meet you at the end of the walk in Villa Real.

Take Care /  Maybe Talk Soon
