Hi Seamus,
Fibre is being rolled out, but patchy around Paderne. We have Wifi and TV package from Meo and its more than adequate for internet, netflix, etc. We also have SOS UK TV subscription for UK/Ire TV channels, also works fine on standard Wifi.

Also, try Lazer telecom, much better than MEO if they are in the area. They have a good online website if you google
