What's open at Christmas in Ferragudo

I am in Ferragudo at the moment I come here regularly. At the moment there are several restaurants open. These are O Barril which is Portuguese (also their new tapas restaurant which looks amazing) (has entertainment on Saturdays) and run separately. Sikander Indian, Portarade, Fusion all in Ferragudo Square. Zona J Cafe open all day everyday (outside seating only, great locals bar and usual has sport on TV screen) Kool Cocktails Bar , known as Sports Bar (near Velho  restaurant ( is open Fri Sat Sundays) There are several other places open dotted around Ferragudo. Terra Cotta comes recommended. Sadly the much revered Fim du Mundo has closed down permanently. Shops - the local supermarket and Butchers within is open except for Sundays.(closes for a couple of hours sort of siesta hours not sure of timings). 2nd hand shop (sort of antique shop open every day except Sundays) the Flea market is held second Saturday of every month and can’t be missed located in main Ferragudo street. Beach bars - I think Club Nau always open on Sundays (Magic Sundays with Daddy Jack Band food music dancing) they may do Sunday Lunch.  Not sure about other days but likely to be open. Please check out Facebook for days / dates / timings. Lidl open 8 am to 10pm for groceries if required - a 20 minute walk as it’s in Parchal. Here you will find Homa store for household items & Staples Store. I noticed Terra Cotta restaurant are having Christmas Day lunch €75 and New Years Eve €150 and €120 for kids. See menu posted on front door. (This restaurant opened this year and recommended and there are not many places offering this) Indigo Indian/ Mediterranean food is open for Christmas bookings I noticed but closed at moment.  Beaches are open!  and we have been known to take a picnic and sit at Kalu Bar even though it’s closed and enjoy the sunny weather! Or sit at the Kayak tours benches! Great walk along the beach past the castle when the tide is out. Take a Uber to Portimao to Praia da Rochas of take the Taxi Ferry. That’s it there is more, bring all weather clothing layers if can be sunny but gets cold at night! If you wanton take the train it goes from Parchal / Ferragudo station, it’s low cost and for example Lagos is around €2 single, many other locations. There is a newsagent also for newspapers/magazines lottery tickets. There is a play park right in the centre with a grassed are. Also a chemist, charity shop and several ATM’s  Enjoy
