Thinking of moving to Vila Real and wonder if there are any expats living there.

There are a few, probably Tavira has more, Vila Real seems a very quiet town, I lived there for a year. I live in Monte Gordo now and love the beaches here

Yes Monte Gordo is great as it's so easy to access the beach compared to Vila Real.
