There is a great little shop at the top of the donkey steps that sells locally made stuff. A good place for last minute presents.

The shop is called ' Loja do Chocolat' ie the chocolate shop. It is at the top of the donkey steps on the left. Almost everything is hand made and usually local and often unique. Reasonable prices. On the map below it is between the Farmacia Moderna and the Tapas Bar.
