New adventure
Good Evening everyone,
My name is Nik and my Wife is Louise. Following our last trip we have fallen in love with the Monchique area. We are planning a number of trips back later this year with a view of finding a property to purchase. We intend to buy an older property requiring restoration with plenty of land. This is a 2 year project for us as we intend to move out full time in June 2025.
Over the next few months we would love to talk to anyone who has done similar as we will be looking for reliable builders, solicitors to help with Visa’s, health insurance providers, recommendations for places to stay and most importantly places to eat.
Longer term we would love to have lessons in Portuguese as we want to fully integrate with the local community.
So any early tips on any of the above would be gratefully appreciated.
