Hi all, so this is our first Christmas in Portugal since moving here in April and since obtaining our residency.  Our grown up children will not be with us actually on Christmas or Boxing Day and l thought I’d ask if there are any recommendations as to where to go to celebrate Christmas lunch with other expats in/near Altura. Can’t believe it’s only 5 weeks till Christmas! Many thanks in advance

Hi,

We live in Altura and will be here for Christmas.  Lets meet up soon?

We are a Canadian/English/American couple, with two dogs.  Moved to Portugal in 2022, to Navis in Northern Portugal.  Moved to Altura in March 2023.

Thanks for responding but a bit further away than we are looking for at Christmas time. Have a great one!

Hi!
Thanks so much for replying! Yes absolutely, that would be great to meet up. Would the first week in December work as my man, Dave, is in the UK until then.

Thanks again, Jo and Dave ❤️ 👍🇧🇾

Jo & Dave,

Yes, we will be here.  Are you here now?

Do you want to meet up for drinks or something else?

We live in Altura but Dave is in the UK for business for a week so the first week in December for drinks would be great.

Any suggestions where to meet?

Thanks

Jo

Hi Jo,

Do you know Manta Rota?  There is a fun bar:

Restaurante Old Times Bistro, Bar & Coffee.  They have live music on Fridays and Karaoke on Saturdays.

R. de Nora lote A Loja C, 8900-068 Manta Rota

Would that work, or would you prefer a place in Altura?
