We are looking for a cleaner to look after our 2 bedroom apartment in Alvor. Making up beds as necessary in advance of guests arriving and then cleaning through and doing the washing as guests leave. 

Perhaps 2.5 hours a week in high season. Would pay 15 euros a week retention though winter.

My wife and I are planning to go from Alvor this Saturday, April 6 one way, with our ultimate destination being Vilamoura. 

I see Lagos to Loule with the train ( we can do Uber from there to Vilamoura) but are there no buses from Alvor to Lagos on the 6th? When I try to book bus (51) it comes back "no buses found". No local bus?

I also saw a bus (51) showing from Alvor to Albufeira in the morning (can connect from there to Vilamoura)  but again, the search for buses comes back "no buses found". 

Any light anyone can shed on this would be greatly appreciated.

My wife is looking for a hairdresser in Alvor to apply highlights. Our Portuguese is extremely limited but so is our budget. We would prefer a salon in the village (no car) and not in one of the resort spots (again, out of our budget) Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I am looking for intelligent, interesting discussion groups

I have some 100EUR notes that I brought from my bank back home and would like to change them to 10 and 20 EUR notes. Will money exchange places do this for free or is there a bank in Alvor that would do this? I'd hate to give a restaurant or store a larger note when your purchase is much smaller.
