Safety for female visitors

Hello, i am potentially renting somewhere, a 10 minute cycle from Vale do Lobo, September 2025 for 6 months.
Is Vale do Lobo safe for lone females out of season.
Stayed in Portimao and Lagos, out of season a few years ago, it was a bit grim. They both seemed to shut down with notable transients arriving. It wasn't safe for lone women after dark, so I didn't go out in the evening.
Would you be happy with your 30 something daughter, staying here out of season alone?
I don't drink /go to bars but enjoy cafe culture, beach walking and socialising.
Not meaning to offend any residents, just my experience of many beachy locations out of season.
