Hello,
We presently live most of the year on the Silver Coast..1hr north of Lisbon.
There is a great expat & Portugese community here however the winter weather can be frustrating so we are thinking of relocating to Tavira.
How is it there for community in general & also alternative community….

Tavira has a wonderful expat community.
Join Tavira friends. They meet up every Friday at 12 PM at the Mercado. On Wednesday night at the maria nova hotel at the rooftop bar there is a meet up from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
The weather is beautiful here. However, this winter has had an unusual amount of rain. Since we were in a drought, it was most welcome.
