Reach out to families
We, as a family from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, would love to connect with expat families who, like us, have (or have had) school-aged children around the ages of 8 and 10. We are planning to move to the Algarve this summer and are particularly drawn to Monchique and its surroundings, such as Nave and Caldas.
We are not worried about keeping ourselves entertained, but we are curious about what social life will be like for our children. Do kids frequently meet up with each other? Is there a community or club life? Where do children typically go to school? We are considering Silves, although we find the distance quite challenging.
