Hi All,
Myself and my partner are planning to move to Albufeira in the coming months. On arrival, can we get a 6/12 month rental lease and/or open a bank account during the first three months, i.e. prior to obtaining permanent residency?

I think the basic answer is ' it depends' !
I searched, found and purchased my house in Salir during the On/Off travel restrictions of COVID and Veronica and her team did most of the work for me.
I would call or drop her an email ( they all speak good English ) with the details of your situation and plans. She has several offices along the Algarve for face to face visits, if needed.
They will be happy to advise on what is possible - and be willing to help you through the process.
They come highly recommended by me. :-)
