Hi all could you advise what's the most cost effective way to travel to Alte from Faro airport. We're in the very early stages of possibly buying a property and are weighing everything up.

Thanks in advance, any tips in buying etc or advice would be greatly appreciated thanks Jo

I think you can get a bus from Alte to Loule then Loule to Faro. Google the buses, the Alte one might be infrequent.

The quickest way is an airport transfer, would cost maybe 50 or 60 euros each way.

The nearest train stations to get to Faro would be Loule or B St Messines.

Then the airport transfer bus from Faro to the airport.

There may be a more direct bus transfer but  I don’t know of any. I think Alte is a lovely place but yep check out what buses there are from there as without a car you need them or taxis.

I happen to be at Faro airport and I see there are direct buses from the airport to Loulé so you can get there without changing.

Ah great news thankyou I'll look into that too. We've been researching Alte and have spoken to locals who have all said what a beautiful village it is 😁

It’s a village of two parts. Very quiet in the winter but very busy in the summer. If you intend living in the village itself, worth visiting at both times. Bon chance
